Some of Hollywood’s Well Known Women Reveal Their Beauty Advice

It sure can seem like TV and movie actors have unattainably perfect skin. Truth is, they’re human just like the rest of us. While some may have a dermatologist and doctors on hand to help them look their best, many just take really good care of themselves!

This week, we found some interesting comments from some well known stars who told various reporters in interviews what they do to keep their skin radiant.

Penelope Cruz

Cruz said the best advice she got for skin care came from her mom. “She always said to eat healthy and get a solid amount of rest. I remember her sounding like a broken record telling us to eat our veggies and go to sleep," she told one magazine. "She annoyed me, but now, as a mother, I hear myself saying the same things."

Halle Berry

"No matter what age you are, you always look a little better when your skin is a little dewy, not too powdery. I went through phases where all I wanted to do was be matte and powdered up, but then I found it wasn't the best look for me," she suggests. “It keeps my makeup looking very dewy, and I feel like it just makes me look more youthful, alive, and fresh."

Olivia Wilde

Wilde recently told a magazine she recommends cleansing first, then hydrating. "My regimen is the Pre-Cleanse Oil, followed by the Hydrating Renew Cleanser," She said. She also recommends getting lots of Vitamin C.

Jessica Alba

"My mother taught me to always wear sunscreen, and to treat my beauty products as an investment," said Alba. She would cheap out on her clothes before she would ever skimp on her skincare or makeup. She'd say, 'Listen, this is your face. It's all you've got.'"

While there’s many more incredible ladies just like them, they all tend to agree with the same basic principles. It all seems so simple and straightforward, but how many of us stick to a skin health routine?

Here’s the big takeaways:

  • A healthy diet makes a difference
  • Make sure you’re getting plenty of sleep
  • Avoid dry skin, moisturized skin is gorgeous
  • Cleanse first, hydrate second
  • Don’t buy cheap makeup or skincare products!
