Honoring A Mother’s Strength: Yvette’s Inspiring Legacy

Honoring A Mother’s Strength: Yvette’s Inspiring Legacy

Wilma Schumann’s mission has always been to help women be proud of who they are, how they feel and of course, how they look! This week, I draw a lot of courage and strength reflecting on my Mom’s story.

Life wasn’t always easy for Yvette, but she pushed through it all.

She started her life’s journey in Chicago with five other siblings and lost her Dad when she was 13. As a result, she wound up caring for her younger brothers and siblings while her Mother went to work at the family hobby shop.

Mom loved to study the art of photography and take incredible pictures. It’s because of her, I learned fashion and a good eye for a well shot photo!

When her children got into sports, she got involved too!

I played various sports through high school and the athletic trainers commented my mom was “One of the best athletic parents of my career”. Yvette was the biggest advocate for her kids, but she also seemed to know when to get out of the way. She was overwhelmingly supportive of me starting a business right out of college instead of getting a traditional job.

About twelve years ago, Yvette was diagnosed with Parkinsons. It was hard on the entire family watching her progression with the disease. My Dad did his very best to provide her with everything she needed, even when he couldn’t physically do it all.

Her inspiration was part of why I invested in Wilma Schumann.

I know that slowing the signs of aging in a healthy way with plenty of education and professionally tested products really helps women around the world.

Wilma Schumann was a hardworking Mom with a positive attitude, just like my mom.

We lost Mom to Parkinson’s on Friday April 7th, 2023.

Moms wear many hats and juggle so many responsibilities.

So many rarely think of investing in themselves!
